The Mouse on the Moon

Released 7 May 1963
RUPERT MOUNTJOY, the Prime Minister of the world’s smallest country, Grand Fenwick, convinces the United States to provide financial aid for a space program, while intending actually to spend the money on indoor plumbing. Unfortunately, with the space race and the cold war in full spate, the Russians also want to contribute to the plucky little nation, as do the British!
And as though all of that’s wasn’t complicated enough , Mountjoy’s son VINCENT and his scientist friend PROFESSOR KOKINTZ have devised a genuine way of getting to the moon – and Vincent intends to go, both to satisfy a childhood ambition and to impress the girl of his dreams, the rebellious CYNTHIA.
